They are relatively heavy taking into account the black rubber is slightly thin, but they provide just right ankle strengthen. They are also fantastically comfy upon getting tightened up the laces to the put oner's liking.
The best problem is a novel (at least to me) petroleum odor that permeates these boots. Outdoor storage is nearly mandatory; any room you set these boots in is going to reek of their odor. (My lady friend almost disowned me for bringing them within the automotive for a pressure. Windows down the entire way, and topic of conversation virtually never strayed from how "the scent higher now not stay.

The stitching, canvas, and vulcanization appear solid, and they've a nice deep tread for just right traction.
