I've contacted pediped and so they replied tomorrow. Here is an excerpt from their letter: "All of our sneakers are dyed with non-toxic meals grade dyes. The shade in a suede shoe will switch when the shoe get moist as a result of we do not deal with the shoe with chemical compounds to make the shoe water resistant."
I hope that that is authentic. Since shoes are manufactured in China, I am weary of any leaking dye. I'd be concerned about that whatever the manufacturing website online. I will attempt any other color and perhaps have a greater good fortune.
