These boots met our needs. We arrived in Ketchikan to rain and pretty a lot had rain/wet the complete week. Our toes stayed heat and dry all the shuttle. The boots were comfy right out of the box and had been a lot lighter in weight than other non-waterproof boots I had. I did not test the water-proofing in anything else over 1 1/2 inches of steping in water that have been puddles and loyal rain. I do no longer know what would happen if you needed to spend your whole day in 1 1/2 inches or extra of water. I do highly suggest them. They were also straightforward to clean off.
