They have been lovely stiff in the beginning but after a few just right wears, I painlessly broke them in. They are comfortable and do not flop around, (I have medium/average feet). They have a pleasant shine, however now not too brilliant. They are usually not slick against the grounds or sidewalk, nor do they leave black marks on the grounds. They go with nearly any outfit. They are definately worth the cheap price.
